ESPN & Proposed Rule Changes

So a couple of things to talk about today.

First, the ESPN site. As I stated in the invite, we won't be using ESPN for everything. The league will still be primarily run through this site right here. The main reason I wanted to use ESPN was because (a) it's free and (b) now the players available on the waiver wire are more accessible. I have fielded for more question of who is and is not on a team so now the entire roster and any available players will be right there for everyone to see. During the coming days I will tweak the settings to make it match our league as closely as possible. If there are changes I can not make I will notify everyone on here and we will move ahead as such.

The second order of business is some proposed rules changes for 2010 came up over the weekend. Most notably these 4:
  1. Re-instituting 1 pt for a Reception
  2. Switching from Team Defense to Individual Defensive Players
  3. Upping the keepers next year from 7 to 8 or 9
  4. Adding a Salary Cap
We will be discussing these changes at the draft on August 1st, that way everyone can make their cases for or against. Again, any changes made WILL NOT effect the upcoming 2009 season and will be implemented FOLLOWING the 2009 season.

If anyone has any other changes they'd like to see discussed either send me an e-mail and I will update this post, or add a comment with the change you'd like to see.
